Angle Lens Adapter

I've got a nikon d3000 with a 35mm f1.8 lens. I'm planning on buying a .45x wide angle adapter. should i?
will it have negative effects on my shots?
I mostly shoot indoors in confined spaces. i wanted to make the 35mm f1.8 wider. the 18-55 minimum aperture is f3.5. the only wide angle with the lowest aperture i could think of is the 17-55 f2.8. not low enough and way too expensive.
A .45 adapter is a sure way of spoiling image quality.
