I bought a Playstation 2 used, it came with a remote--how do you make it work?
The remote is brand new (seal hadn't been taken off) and seems to have the factory batteries in it. I just have the remote, is their another piece you need, something that hooks into the console?
Is there some setting I have to adjust?
It's not working at all.
if you have an older ps2, like when they first came out, look between the reset button, and the eject button. If it doesn't have an ir sensor, then you're gonna have to buy one that you can plug into a controller port. Alot of the older models have them now. But when the ps2 first came out, the first couple didn't have an ir sensor. Aslo, if no ir sensor, the older remotes came with an install disk, if you have to use the control port ir sensor.
