whats my computer worth?
just finished building it today
ati 5770 1gb sapphire
800 streaming processor units
850mhz gpu
1200mhz memory clock
*has the correct drivers and runs great*
6gb ram ddr2
amd athlon ll x2 dual core 64 235e 3.0ghz
750gb hdd 7200 rpm
700 watt psu *with blue led*
case fan 120mm 1500 rpm 61cfm *white led*
crysis on very high
1024x768 60-70 fps
1280x1024 40-50fps
1440x1050 aa x2 20-35fps
1440x1050 no aa 30-42 fps
mafia2 max settings anti scropic filtering x16:
resolution 1600x1200 35-45 fps
1440x1050 50-65 fps max settings
1280x1024 65-70 fps
when playing games the cpu does not bottle neck it suprisingly
the gpu sticks at 97%
so the cpu is only bottle necking by 3%
24x dvd/cd burner
mid tower case
$155 for 5770
$65 for psu 700 watt
$80 for hdd
$110 for 6gb ram
$50 for athlon 235e
so the computer costed 460 dollars to build
No bottle neck. Unless your CPU is maxed out and your video card will not go any further, you are not bottle necking anything. If GPU is at 97%, then that is all the further it is being taxed.
I agree, $500 to $600 max.
