Cable Lead Sony

Coax and Optical cable not co-oping!?
My optical cable via ps3 works only if I unplug the coax cable connected to HD box thats not even turned on! Hell, ps3 sound works through the speakers even if I plug in the coax back, but its not working when I shut down the ps3 and turn it back on, sound is muted.
Coax and Optical are both connected to DVD player, Sony home cinema and each are leading to HD box and PS3.
Whats wrong with this?
Same thing happened to me!
You have to call the cable company and they have to manually fix it. it most likely will cost $15
