Where can I find a battery charger for my camera?
I have a JVC camcorder
the code thing is GZ-MS100RU and I lost the battery charger, the thing you put the battery on to charge it. Where can I buy a new one?
Wow, what a question. So I've spent an hour trying to find a solution to your problem because the voltage requirement is very specific. I've found something you can go on, but it may not be easy.
1. The AC Input: AC 110V to 240V ~ 50/60 Hz, 0.3A (AC electricity coming out of the wall outlet)
2. The AC Output: DC 11V -- 1A (DC electricity coming out of the adapter and going into the camcorder to charge the battery)
My first recommendation would be to call the company directly or check out their website to find out who sells these adapters. JVC would know if anyone is still carrying the adapter. Perhaps they could send it to you as well.
Also, there are some universal adapters out there that could help you out, except none of the one's that I've found have an 11V setting. Instead, they have 9v and 12v, which would either mean not enough power or too much so that it could fry your battery (bad!).
So if JVC is being unhelpful, here is the proposal that you probably won't like. Go to your local radio shack to see if they carry it there or some kind of universal adapter that would. If they don't have either, get the ac adapter for the JVC AP-V12U, which fits all of the voltage specs your camera has.

When it arrives, see if it will plug into your camera. If it won't, you'll have to go back to Radioshack to buy the correct tip that would fit your camcorder (the bit on the end of the adapter wire that actually plugs into the camera). You may need to visit your local community center or ask friend to use his or her soldiering iron and soldier the wires into place. Perhaps they could help you out. If you don't know anyone like that, there are people around who used to repair TVs and the like - they know how to use a soldiering iron. When doing so, make sure the same colors/symbols(+/-) from the previous wire are replaced with the same kind.
Good luck!
