How should I clean droplets of mud on my camera's lens?
Went hiking and took some photos today. Unfortunately, I had the lens cap off when I stumbled and my foot stomped into a puddle sending droplets of mud upward. Three or so hit my camera lens. One is small on the main part of the lens, another is on the border edge of where the lens meets the plastic part.
Now I have a lens cleaning kit, I'm just not sure the proper procedure for getting off mud.
It is an SLR lens.
Should I use the tissue-paper-like lens tissue or the micro-fiber cloth?
First use a soft brush to remove any grit, then spray the cleaner onto a lens tissue (not directly on to the lens) and use as little pressure as posible to remove the dirt.
