Is it true that Sigma or Tamron lens...?
Is it true that Sigma or Tamron lens happens to be defective even new because they haven't an adequate product control system? Or this is all a marketing propaganda of big brands like canon and nikor, some kind of jealosy?
You can get a defective lens from any company period.
If you continue in your quest of photography you quickly find out which lens come at what prices ..
For example the Sigma 30 f/1.4 and extremely sharp lens but it comes with front/back focusing issues. Sometimes you have to send it to Sigma various times to get the issue resolved.
However lets take a Canon lens - 17-55 IS a very sharp lens when wide open f/2.8 and like L quality pictures. For $850 bucks you will think it will come with no problems. Wrong this lens is a dust magnet and it has IS ring issues. So don't let anyone fool you ..
When it comes to lens you will see that certain lens have their strengths and their weaknesses and when you read about a specific problem about a lens - more often than not that series of lens are prone to that specific problem.
So bottom line read and educate yourself - just because they aren't Canon or Nikkor Lens and a 3rd party company does not mean that they are less superior ..
p.s. you have homework to do http://photozone.de/ :p enjoy!
