Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom AF Lens ?
I would like to purchase the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom AF Lens from Amazon for £150.
And i would like to use it on my Canon EOS 1000D, but i would like to take portraits and wildlife.
I am wondering if this lens is suitable for portraits e.g weddings, pets portraits, i know the lens would be suitable for wildlife, but is it suitable for portraits?

The lens will be great for you as an amateur, it will be fine for use in good light.
However, it is not suitable for any kind of professional photography, especially weddings. Though it's fine to take along to weddings as a guest - you shouldn't be charging anyone, or even offering to be main photographer for free!
