Cap Nikon Camera

Dropped my camera, help?
I have a Nikon Coolpix 210, and i accidently dropped it the other day. It still turns on, and you can see the pictures you have already taken, but you cannot see through the camera lens. When you take a picture, it flashes and everything, but all you can see is black.
It looks as though in the lens, there is a little black "cap" that closed inside, that should open when the camera is turned on. This camera means everything to me, Can anyone help me?
Check if the shudder on the front of the lens opens when you turn the camera on. If not, try to GENTLY push it open and see if that opens the lens. It may have knocked the gearing out of place to open the lens protection.
If that doesn't work find a camera shop local to you but get a price quote first. The coolpix might be cheaper to replace depending on the damage ;(
