Circular polarizing filter?
I bought a camlink uv and circular polarizing filterset for my slr I have a 75-300mm and a18-55mm lens. the cir polarizing filter seems to work fine on the 18-55mm but when i use it on my 75-300 The image quality is terrible like its out of focus. I there doesnt seem to be any scratches or marks on the filter. I dont understand why it works on the 18-55mm with out any loss in image quality but doesnt work on the zoom lens? ps these are cheap filters !
i have also used manual focus to try and solve the problem but the image is always blury. but as soon as I take the filter of the image is perfect so it is not an issue with the lens or the focussing
no... its not motion blur even with a tripod. this occurs even when looking through the view finder or using the live view function. ive tried to manual focus and i cant get any where near decent focus.
Well simply telephoto lenses are far more sensitive to shutter speed. With an 18-55mm you can shoot as slow as 1/50 handheld, with a 75-300mm lens you probably can't drop to shutter speeds that low.
As a CPL loses you 2-3 stops of light, so theres a great possibility that you will be shooting at lower shutter speeds. As a result the handshake becomes really noticeable. With the 75-300mm you will need to puch the ISO speeds up.
