Anyone tell me why an older LCD monitor would start flashing off and on?
After 10 or 15 minutes my AOC monitor begins randomly flashing off (black) and then back on.. i don't think it's the power supply because there's no warmup period .. the screen goes black and then the image reappears in a couple seconds and repeats every 3, 4 or 5 seconds.. i took it apart and unplugged all connections but there was no change.. my guess is that there's a signal interrupt so perhaps a cracked circuit board or heat problem? This is my 2nd attempt @ repairing an LCD monitor.. still no success 
Any ideas? Oh, i tried a different graphics card.. didn't change anything..
have checked the backlights.. both begin flashing together so the problem must be elsewhere.. hmmm..
LCD comes with a backlight, which is similar to a flat tube light. So your LCD back light is damaged, that is why it getting switched off.
