Nikon D60 and Canon Rebel XSi (450D)?

What do u think about these 2 new DSLRs? Do you think the XSi is worth that ~$150 extra? Why?

D60: 10MP CCD, Self-cleaning, 3 points AF, 3 fps, EXPEED
XSi: 12MP CMOS, Self-cleaning, 9 points AF, 3.5 fps, DIG!C III, Live view
Both comes with 18-55 mm image stabilize lens
Also the XSi saves RAW in 14 bits while the D60 saves RAW is 12 bits.

PLEASE DON'T use the BRAND AS A REASON!

They are so new, it is hard to tell, but they are certainly both excellent cameras.

There is no difference between the quality of images from either CCD or CMOS sensors, it has more to do with how the images are processed in the camera its self. In this case both Nikon and Canon do this very well.

"All the DSLRs are the same overall. Each brand performed the same.

There are some minute differences if you look really hard at these extreme blow-ups. In real photography they will look the same as each other. If you have the time to waste worrying about these minutiae, you're probably very new to photography. Don't worry and go take some photos. The real differences between cameras are in ease-of-use, color, and exposure. Wait until I show these real differences in another upcoming article! "

So, if this is your first ever SLR or DSLR, then you will have to go to a camera store that sells both cameras and hold them in your hands and see which fits your hands and shooting styles the best.

If you already have lenses for one of them, then just buy the matching Camera.
