Digital Protector Filter

Did the surge protector go out?
There's a tv,digital box,laptop,small lamp,5 gallon filter(fish tank),air pump(fish tank),small hooded light(fish tank) and heater(fish tank) hooked up to it. None of it works. But the surge protector(made my Philips to handle "bigger" jobs) still has the light on it saying it's working properly. What could have happened?
I've had it about 4 years and at one point in time there was two desktop computers hooked up to it plus the printers. I had no problems with it then. But last night the power did blink/flash,could that have triggered this?
It sounds like the surge protector part of your power strip is working fine. But it will also probably have a simple fuse or circuit breaker in case you plug in too many things and have too big a load on it. You probably have too big a load on the surge protector and the small voltage bump just tripped the breaker or blew the fuse in it. Check to see if there a small switch that says reset on it or a fuse that you can replace. This should get you running again.
There's no need to have the fish tanks, lamps or other inexpensive or non-sensitive equipment connected to a surge protector. If a lamp takes a surge about the only thing that can happen is you need to replace the bulb. The heaters in your fish tanks are fairly immune to surges and spikes so there's no need for them to be connected to a surge protector. Get a second plug strip for these kinds of things and leave your expensive stuff, computer, stereo, printer, etc, connected to the surge protector.
