How can I eliminate this hard shadow?
I was taking studio portraits of a nephew earlier today, to test my new portrait studio out, and I keep having this shadow problem.
The pic is here:

I set my lighting up as this:

I'm trying to use broad lighting, all my equipment is amateur and the light is a theatre flood light and the reflector is crumpled ton foil. Now, how can I eliminate this shadow? Should I add a key light? How can I completely eliminate shadow. BTW none of my lights are connected to flash, and I'm using a simple digital camera.
Also, is my lighting right? It looks more centered in the face, rather then highlighting on one side as broad lighting is.
The quick way is to put a lamp on the floor behind him. If you are using "home-found" items, just take th shade off of a lamp and use a 60-to-100 watt bare buld in the lamp.
The pros will tell you a better way, but this is an interim fix.
