Dock Insert Adapter
iPod touch 4G work with Apple Universal Dock?

OK so ive just bought the new iPod touch 4G with the HD camera, retina display etc... And because im using it on iTunes a lot i dont want it scratched from being on the table. So i have seen the Apple Unviersal Dock in stores for ages and never thought of buying one, until now. But i am confused as to, when i buy it, do i have to buy an adapter for the dock for my new ipod to fit or can i just insert my new ipod without any adapters? Personally i think its ridiculous to have to buy an over priced dock then pay for the adapters aswell. thanks :)

go to a store where they have store models plugged in of ipod docks. and stick your ipod on there and see how it works.

if that doesn't work, wait a little while until they start making docks that mention on the package that they work with 4g ipod touch.

if you can't do either of those, buy it form a store that has a return policy that allows you to return merchandise that's opened if you are not satisfied with it.
