AP Tech auto glass windshield replacement available from auto glass repair shop or just dealer?
An auto glass company near me said they can replace my 2000 honda civic two door couple windshield for 120. And that includes aptech glass, lifetime warranty, labor, and new molding. does this sound ok or should i be wary? i told another place this that seems more believable and they said they couldn't match it, but then said they could do it all for 135 but it would be ppg. that sounds like its more believable . just wanted to know if it sounds legit for them to have aptech glass and not be a dealership.
in my experience, most dealerships don't like to deal with glass (or bodywork) anyway.
They subcontract that work out to a glass repair shop.
Read some reviews on yelp or elsewhere to see if they do good work, but I don't think there is any reason to suspect fraud.
Good opportunity to aquapel/rain-x or other windshield treatment after you get it while it's perfectly clean.
