Eye Macro Lens

What should I be looking for in a camera lens?
I have a Minolta SRT 101. It's a very nice camera. But I'm a bit of a lens junkie. I'm looking to get a macro, and then eventually a fish eye/wide angle *is there a difference?* lens. I really want the macro, so I was looking at ebay, and there's so much to rummage through. I went to a photo store about this once, and asked them what I should be looking for, and they said they'd look for one for me. A TRUE macro lens, I have no idea what they meant by that, though. Well, that was many months ago and they never got back to me. So now, I'm asking you. How do I wade through the ebay listing, and find a good lens?

First off, I'd avoid ebay ! Find a real camera store. A macro lens allows you to take close up photos. A fish eye lens distorts the view of the photo. Sort of like those round security mirrors you see in some stores. I've been shooting 35mm for over 20 years & have never had a need for a fish eye lens. A good quality fish eye is very expensive.
Your Minolta is older than most of the people on this web page.LOL. I'd look at a camera dealer like cameta.com. I've dealt with them before, and they seem to be a honest dealer.They give a six month warranty on most used items.
