72mm to 62mm filter converter?
I have these Screw-on macro lens, wide-angle lens, and telephoto lens that are 62mm filter size, and the new lens that i will get (18-200mm) are 72mm filter size. Are there converters that can screw-on to down-size them to 62mm?
You mean, are there any converters to allow you to put a 62mm filter on a lens with a 72mm front end? Yes, but.... First of all, if that's what you mean, you don't want to do that. The result will cause vignetting at all focal lengths except the long end. Second, by practice, you don't want to put anything on the front end of that lens except a CPL, ND, or UV filter. There's no need for a wide angle lens "attachment", the 18-200mm is already a wide angle zoom lens, and macro lens filters don't really work that well, any of which will only induce optical artifacts that will decrease the quality of your images, and could make it difficult for your camera to properly autofocus. Those things are cheaply made, and a waste of time to a person with a DSLR. If you want a macro lens, buy a macro lens; if you want a wider angle lens, buy a wide angle lens....or rent one (for loads cheaper than you can buy one for). The point of owning a DSLR is to have the flexibility to use higher quality optics than what is normally designed and available for cheaper, point and shoot cameras, or people who don't know any better. You can do what you want, but leave your lens alone and use the camera on which it is attached to take good pictures.
