Aqueon 10 gallon filter?

I bought this Aqueon brand aquarium kit, the aquarium is 14 gallons but the filter the kit came with says it works for up to 10 gallons. There was a sticker on the filter box that said like updated model good for 15 gallons or something but this seems kind of odd to me. I have two dwarf rams in there and they seem to be doing fine, its been running for about 3 weeks now but should I be worried at all, or get a better filter? Thanks.

Your tank is fine the way it is. You may want to do a 20% weekly water change rather than the traditional 10%.

Just a tip, since your tank has been running for about 3 weeks, you need to start watching the ammonia levels. Your tank has not yet cycled and the ammonia is going to be high if it isn't already. The best way to take care of this is to get a test kit. Also, you will need to increase the water changes to 30-35% every other day for the next 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, decrease the changes to twice weekly for a couple of weeks then, when your ammonia levels are at 0 ppm, you can do a normal weekly change.
