so whats a better cheap fisheye lens?
okay..so i bought a super wide fisheye lens for my canon rebel k2 size is .42x.i just bought it about a month ago and i already want to get a new one but i cant make up my mind of what i should get.im not looking for anything thats or 80.what is better for the k2 a tokina fisheye 0.22x wide lens or the .22x hd2 fisheye lens opteka.which one also creates less and more fig? (i think thats what it is called with the black around the circle)....and also .22x gets more than the .42x right? i want a new fisheye because i have the k2 and a digital finepix fuji film and the lens that i just got happened to fit on the finepix so i want to get one for my k2.dont want to keep switching on and off the same lens.help me out.thanks.
As it is you will have purchases two cheap add on lenses.
Fisheye lenses have little application to photography unless you are a photographer who shoots in a lot of cramped spaces, like inside sailboats, shooting remotely inside race cars, shooting inside small homes, etc. Using it as an effects lens, you may use it about 0.1% of the time, or it may come cliche and start boring people.
I shoot sailboats under sail and other aquatic sports so my 10.5 mm fisheye gets used about 5% of the time when I am on those assignments ... the rest of the time is "sleeps" in my camera case. In the situations I use mine, and "add-on" fisheye would not produce the quality images my clients demand.
Maybe you can look at the new Tokina 10-17 mm fisheye zoom and then budget for it. Your images will be much better.
