Fit Sony Hvr

What is the best camera for professional use?
I want to make a feature film and I am looking for a solid, cheap, and workable HD camera. I'm think Sony, the HD camcorder or the Professional HD camcorder? Which one should fit for a beginner who is gonna make a feature film for festivals, a low to no budget, indie? Any suggestions on a great but reasonable, cheap HD cam? That has both HD memory stick and HD cassette for recording footage.
What do you think about Sony HVR-HD1000P vs.HVR-A1P
and Sony HVR-HD1000P vs. Sony Handycam HDR-XR520V Camcorder
I would like to know your suggestions, what camera would be great other than the ones I mentioned.
Thanks.
Can I record a footage using a new HD cam from my old, very old, JVC camcorder, because I have important footage recorded on the DV cassette and since nowadays, new cams only has memory sticks, any way or method I could use to record that footage from my DV cassette to HD?
Thanks.
I simply can't understand why you would be contemplating spending over a grand on a video camera when, it appears, you have no experience in filming whatsoever!
Before wasting (and I think you would be) £1000+ on a camera I'd suggest a few weeks at your local night school and, at least, find out about the basics.
Don't mean to sound harsh I just can't stand by while you waste a pot of money
