Flash Bounce Reflector

External Flash unit for Canon Rebel K2?
I'm looking for a good external flash unit for a canon rebel k2. The 430EX looks good, but I just want to make sure. It has to be affordable (preferabely no more than $100) but still very useful in a variety of situations (reflectors or not).
List as many details as possible (strobe would be nice) so I can tell what I can use it for
Also, if I have to use improv (no umbrellas or reflectors or whatever) should I just wing it and bounce it off a ceiling or a wall or something or is there a better technique for certain situations?
Anything you have will be helpful
Thanks
The 430EX is just perfect for the job. It might not be in your price range but in the long range I think it would be worth it. If you want, I think there is a cheaper 220EX but you can't bounce it off the walls/ceilings so I don't think it's worth it.
The easiest way to do improvization is to bounce the flash off the wall or ceiling - a reflectors or even an umbrella would be too bulky at times when you need to move around people. But recently I've seen a bulb-like diffuser that seems to be able to produce a good flash result - you might want to try on that especially if you're working in outdoor at night or you're in an indoor basketball field for instance where the ceiling is too high for you to bounce your flash off.
