What can i do instead of buying a new camera?
Hey everybody, so i have a point an shoot camera but the problem is that the flash is always WAY to bright. It always highlights the defaults of things and never shows the REAL colors in a picture. For example i am very tanned and when i take a picture i'm super white and my face looks oily and greasy! ...Even when i stand far away from the camera. I also fixed the white balance to make it look less pale and i wen through all the settings and changed whatever would help, but it still does this...I don't want to buy a new camera, i have 2 and they both have the exact same problem, but one is worse than the other... What can i do? Somebody told me i could buy a diffuser or something like that.....? What do you think? Please, i don't want to buy a new camera...they were both quite expensive.

You're too close to the flash.
You should be at least four feet from a camera flash.
Try draping some tissue over the flash if you must get closer, a couple of layers will make a big difference. Check the paper for scorch marks, though...those flashes get pretty hot for a fraction of a second.
You could try using one of these extension thingies.
It allows you to hold the camera further away..giving you up to 5' arms.

Don't forget to use the Beauty Shot on the Samsung...a great feature.
