Flash Trigger Set

How do I get my softboxes to work?
Hello,
so for Christmas I got three softboxes, all of which have flash capability. So I can have all three softboxes flash when I take the picture.
However, if I don't put my Canon T2i's exposure compensation to -5 (and even then it's still a bit over exposed) the picture is completely washed out, almost entirely white.
I've set all three flashes to 1/16 of their normal power and it still turns out like this. In fact, it turns out like this even when I only have one of them flashing when I take the picture. I think I'm doing something very minuscule wrong, but I need to know what it is. Thanks for your help!
SIDE NOTE: All three flashes are being triggered by a wireless flash trigger attached to my camera.
1st - is your camera set to the flash sync speed (the correct shutter speed) Program Mode will not work here.
.
2nd - what f/stop you using..? Again a automatic mode will NOT work here..!!
.
The camera HAS to be on full Manual here.. There is nothing with your soft boxes that can communicate to your camera, or the camera to them. Neither has a clue in the world as to what you are trying to do.
.
Find out at what speed (the fastest) it can sync at for electronic flashes. Then set your ISO to maybe like 100.... Then experiment on your f/stop.. F/8,, F/16... etc. You have to leave your flashes at ONE setting for now to eliminate too many variables. Only when you start getting good exposures can you experiment of the power output dial and your f/stops. The shutter speed will basically always remain at the speed needed to sync with the flashes, whatever that speed may be.
.
Look in your cameras owners book for flash sync speed and hooking up manual flashes.
