What are the specific parts of my camera?
I need to know the detailed name for these things.
My things that came with my items were stolen.
Canon Rebel EOS xSi
I'm going to order the 55-250mm lens.
But the theifs stole the front and rear cap of my shorter lens too.
And I don't know what they are called.
And my camera, like all, came with a cap over the mouth, so that dust can't go in. WHat's that called?
And by the way, I already know that they are called those things.
What i mean is taht, online there are specific ones.
since my missing caps belongs to a 15-180mm lens.
Do I but an 82mm cap or what?
The caps for the camera body and the back of the lens are a standard size for all Canon DSLRs and lenses.
Since all EF lenses fit all Canon DSLRs, they all use the same camera body cap and lens cap.
If you have the 18-55mm kit zoom, it is a 58mm diameter lens, you buy a 58mm lens cap. If you really have a 18-180mm lens, point the lens right at you and you should see how many mm diameter the lens is.
