Anyone have a Sony Handycam DCR-HC37?
I got one for Christmas, but it didnt come with a USB lead.
I found one that fitted but i needed an i-link cable
I found one on amazon, but I dont want to get one, then it doesnt fit.
So is this the correct one?

so... you are all over the map, but I will try. The Sony DCR-HC37 is a miniDV based camcorder.
In order to transfer video from the miniDV tape to your computer, you need to get a Firewire cable. Firewire is the same as i.Link and IEEE1394 - and this cable will connect to the DV port on the camcorder and the Firewire port on your computer. This means your computer needs a Firewire port.
This is not USB. Using the USB port with the USB cable and connecting to the USB port on your computer will let you transfer still pictures from the memory card - but that is about it. You can try install the drivers on the CD in the box the camcorder came in, but chances are very high, it won't work.
Firewire cables come in a couple of configurations. The DV port on the camcorder needs a 4-pin. You already know that. The computer side of the firewire cable can be either 4-pin or 6-pin and depends on what kind of Firewire port is on your computer. Since we don't know what computer you have or the kind of firewire port it has, there is no way for us to know if the 4-pin to 6-pin firewire cable you shared in that link will work - it is the most common, but there are some Sony Vaio computers that use a 4-pin connector.
