My holga-135BC negatives come out blank when developed. Why?
So I just recently got a holga camera for my bday, I was so excited to use it, I used I whole roll of lomography 100 35mm film and took it to the one hour photo at target, and the negatives where blank I figured maybe it was Cuz it was the lomo film, so I got fuji color film 200 , when I finished the roll I took it to Walmart to develope. When I got it back that roll was also blank? I followed everything in the manual instructions, I took off the lens cap off everytime I took I picture. What could it be? What am I doing wrong?
Your shutter might be defective. With no film in the camera, set the shutter to N and the aperture to cloudy. Open the camera back and look at the lens opening and trip the shutter. You should see a flash of light as the shutter opens and closes.
If this is working, when you are shooting, make sure that the aperture setting is fully in the Cloudy or Sunny position. If it slides halfway in between, the aperture arm can block the light path.
The ISO 100 film is a slow film, and works best if used in very bright sunlight. If you were shooting at night or indoors or under low light conditions, the film will appear to be blank due to underexposure, which means there isn't enough light to make an image.
Reload the camera and shoot in the daylight.
