What can i use to cover my lens?
I bought a film camera for my class--it came with a cap that covered the body but i take it off to attach the lens. The lens didnt come with a front cap. At my school photo checkout place, the guy gave me what looks to be a filter. So do i look for a cap or does the glass one work too?

the guy probably gave you a basic UV filter to protect the lens itself from being damaged by UV rays and this will also protect it from scratches and so forth....but you should get a CAP as well..
