Can I use a fisheye lens with 87mm thread size on a 37mm or 43mm thread size camcorder?
working for low budget, non profit camp.
These are the camcorders I have access to:
Panasonic GS250 (43mm thread size)
Panasonic GS 320 (37mm thread size)
Vixia hf10 (37 mm thread size)
We can't afford a fisheye lens but I found a large one that's 87mm and I want to know if there's an adapter I can get to use the lens. I found a site that has a 43mm to 82mm but that's the highest it goes. could I get a second adapter that's 82-87?
Writing on lens: "RAYNOX MX-3000 PRO SEMI-FISHEYE WIDE ANGLE CONVERSION LENS 0.3X"
on other side it says: "87 MADE IN JAPAN" (there's a circle with a line through it before the 87. I think that's the lens size.
Any suggestions?
Please Help! I really want to use this lens. It looks awesome!
Thanks
It's not 87mm it is 58mm.
You could use step-down rings and give it a try. It's always best to not use a ring if possible. You may get some of the lens barrel show up around the edge of your shots.
Have fun at camp!
