What exactly do I need to purchase with the letus35 for my Sony HVR-Z7U?
I am thinking of purchasing the letus35 from here: http://store.zacuto.com/letus35-extreme.html but they ask me what "lense" I need. Not sure what that is, is that a lens mount they mean?
Also, what is the best lens to purchase with the letus35 to achieve this look?

Great choice! The Letus adapter is a great choice, but remember, 35mm adapters require quite a few accessories.
First off, you need to buy the appropriate lens thread to match the diameter of your camcorder's lens. In this case, the Z7U has a 72mm lens, so you need the 72mm thread in order to attach the Letus. Next, you need a lens mount. The lens mount (on the other side of the filter box) will allow you to attach photo lenses or PL lenses. Since each brand has it's own unique mount, you have to decide which lenses you like and stick with it (unless you're willing to pay for more lens mounts)...Most lenses will work fine (considering photo lenses are apt at capturing higher resolution pictures that the video camera). One thing that is extremely important however, is lens speed. Because you lose considerable light through the 35mm adapter (though Letus copes with this very well), you want lenses that are as fast as possible. F/2 or lower would be excellent..
Ideally, the PL mount is the best, but it's by far the most expensive. Canon FD lenses can be very cheap on ebay, but they are small in diameter, and not exactly the best choice.... I use Nikon F Prime lenses on a Redrock M2 adapter, and am very satisfied...
