Light Repair Directions
Chance of a traffic accident law suit?

The situation:

1. The traffic accident occurs at an intersection.
2. My car was turning right
3. The other hits me while going straight
4. There is a traffic light on the intersection with lights for turning right (from my direction)
5. A witness came forward and claimed that the turning light was yellow (so it is my way)
6. The police issued an infringement note to the other driver
7. The driver appealed to the infringement note
8. I cannot repair my car because the other driver is appealing
9. I am planning to sue him for all my expense, cost of repairs plus legal expenses.
10. Oh finally I am in Sydney NSW Australia

What is my chance?, What should I do?, Who should I contact?
More information:

1. I have 3rd party insurance
2. He has comprehensive insurance

If I understand you correctly, you turned right into the path of an oncoming car. If this is how it happened, I'm confused. Normally, if turning right with a turn arrow, oncoming traffic is stopped until the light changes..........

WHATEVER. If you DID turn right into the path of oncoming traffic, the odds are against you in my opinion.

Here in the U.S., there is one rule that supersedes ALL OTHERS: Basically, if it is not safe to do what you're getting ready to do, you may not legally DO it.

Example: You are waiting and your light turns green. You may NOT proceed fwd if it's not safe to do so.
