OPTOMETRIST! I have a question and you are the only folks I know to ask.?
I have a lens (approx 3"x4" valued at $300.00) for a welding hood that has weld spatter (small metal fragments) embeded on one side of it and was wondering if you or any other type of lenscrafters can surface grind (approx .005-.010) and do it economically without damage to the lens? Hope someone can help. Thanks.
No. The grinding and polishing likely would break it. Also, the optics would be affected something like those cheap wavy mirrors you can buy.
