What filters do you carry in your bag?
I carry a polarization, neutral density and IR filter. Working on some diopter lenses ... off topic. Anyway, what do you keep your bag? Inquiring minds want to know 
... on a side note, if you use any color filters, would you mind explaining why you use the filter rather than do this in the processing stage? Just curious. Cheers!
Like you I just carry a polarizing, neutral density and graduated neutral density to hold back skies. Unless you camera has been modified for infra red then the IR filter is pretty academic as Photoshop can do a better job of that too.
What I always carry and always use is a grey card its amazing the difference accurate colour temperature can make to a picture.
I never fit 'protection' filters to my lenses since one shattered and scratched the coating making the lens expensive scrap. A good lens hood offers more physical protection. There may be an argument with wind blown sand or contaminated areas, but I've used my lenses down coal mines and in steel works for years, not to mention countless hours on beaches and not had any problems so far.
