Has anyone had exerience using a polarizing filter on a Nikon D80 with 18-200mm lens?
I just bought a Nikon D80 and am waiting for my Nikon 18-200mm lens (that is backordered). Since I haven't even used it yet, I wanted to know if anyone has experienced using a polarizer on this lens and what that experience has been...A friend told me to ask around and see what people's experience on this camera with this particular lens has been using a polarizer, first, before I purchase one.
I'm a Canon guy, but I thought you might be interested in this article by Ken Rockwell.
Rockwell uses a D80 as well and he describes how he uses filters with the 18-200. He actually uses a 77mm filter with a 72-77 step up ring. He discusses several issues including vignetting.
