How do circuit boards parts work?
This is a huge question. I want to know the name of all the little parts of a circut board, and how they work, in detail. Lead me to a web site, a video, anything, i HAVE to learn this!!!! please explain this... if you can only tell me one thing, list what the part called a transformer does... its in a battery desposible camera, and i know it amplifies the voltage how does it work?? also, tell me where i can buy them... ALL PARTS IF POSSIBLE
Transformers are either step up or step down in relation to the voltages . Two electro-magnetic principles are involved a) if a wire is moves thro a magnetic field - an electric current is induced along the wire. b) If a current of electricity has current flowing tho a wire, it is surrounded by a magnetic field. Therefore a coil of many wires will have a strong magnetic field surrounding it If you wind a second coil around the first one and pass alternating current thro the first coil, its magnetic field will fluctuate up and down and these waves cutting the wires of the secondary coil will induce an electric current in that coil more or less in ratio to the number of turns of wire on each. In a step up transformer the primary coil has low number of turns of thicker wire and the secondary a high number of turns of thinner wire. Mains alternating current cannot be used with a low resistance primary therefore an electronic means would be used to fluctuate the current and the magnetic field. With the usual power pack for printers etc. the mains alternating current of the primary high resistance coil gives the required change in the magnetic flux automatically. and this is a step down transformer type, giving a low voltage down from a high voltage.
