What's a good point and shoot camera that you would recommend?
I want to upgrade from my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W90 to newer model camera. This camera has been really awesome but I am ready for something new. I really like my Sony, but am open to any suggestions. I have tried Kodak in the past and don't really want another one of those. Can you recommend a good point and shoot that would be an upgrade from what I already have?
I suggest the new Olympus point and shoot cameras, not only do they take good photos but I recently upgraded my Sony to the Olympus 1030SW (if I remember the model correctly) and I couldn't be happier. The camera is waterproof, snow, dust and drop proof. Basically it is "me" proof, lol.
I took it to Hawaii and wend swimming with it, took some amazing turtle photos and it takes photos above water just as well. Taking photos on the fly (walking without stopping) is easy and they turn out clear, as well as evening or low light photos. I take it out on the town with me and its easy to use, small and durable. They come in many colors, and I believe there is a 1050, that looks more "mature" in a dark blue, but I like my orange camera - its fun and perky, plus when I leave it laying around I can find it easily. They run anywhere from 170-350 depending on model and depth of waterproof-ness.
