Mitsubishi Rear projection HD 1080 TV problem - fisheye/shadowed picture?
I left my 60 inch rear projection mitsubishi HD 1080 on overnight as I fell asleep in front of it for about 5 hours (11pm - 4am). This morning when I turned it on the picture is doing a fisheye effect on the menu and the text is shadowed randomly (green is shadowed by red and bowed outward as through a fisheye lens)
The previous owner indicated no such error ever happened. The menu shows this error too. I tried restoring to factory defaults through the menu but am admittedly not skilled with this hardware. Is there a quick fix or will this cost to repaIr?

Thank you. After your response and some additional research Ive identified it is indeed a convergence IC issue as you said but cant seem to find where theyre located as I do not have service manual. Model number is Mitsubishi VS-60805. I believe they require STK-392-570 I just can't find the appropriate heatsink to confirm. Any additional advice you could offer would be invaluable
No one ever answers the tough questions. Your convergence IC's crapped out. You have a double or triple picture more than likely. The colors/color pulled away from the others. In the menu you have control of the convergence. You can try and adjust the color that's bent. All you can control is the red and blue. Sounds like the red is out. Depending on the model $350 to $450 repair. If your mechanically inclined you can find out how to replace the convergence IC/IC's. http://forum.eserviceinfo.com/ they help out but need a model #.
