What type of fishing rod and reel should I get?
I am fishing stupid. My 11 year old Loves to fish off the Juno Pier. For Christmas I would like to buy him a good fishing set up. (last year he caught snook but they kept getting away so I don't think he has a good set up now) Can someone give me the names of rods and reels I should be looking for? Thank You
The snook getting away wasn't because of his rod and reel, he just need to spend more time fishing to refine his technique =) Your best bet is to find a local shop and consult with them because they will have the best idea and hands on experience in fishing your exact area. That said, buy the best gear you can afford to. If your son is investing that much time in the hobby, give him the tools to succeed!
