Screw Front Lens

I'm making a 35mm adapter for my Canon HV20, but I want to use Canon's old FD lenses on the adapter. Any tips?
I need a way to attach the FD manual focus lenses possibly to a 42mm screw mount, and eventually to a filter holding a ground glass (focusing screen) in front of the HV20 lens.
Well, I can't really help you there since I haven't attempted to make my own 35mm adapter but Yahoo! Answers probably isn't the best place to be asking about this. If you're not a member already, try the HV20.com forums. They're really helpful and you will most likely get a better and more helpful response than what I or anyone else here might be able to offer. I'm usually on Camcorder Information or Questions/Observations forum as lotrfan if you're ever around there.
