how to change dvd region lock code on my new sony dvd writer?

i just bought a sony DRU-170C.. dvd riter. and itasked me which region i wanted to chose when i inserted a movie dvd. i have 4 more tries left after which it will get locked on to the region 1.. which i selected. wat's the best way to remove this lock? also there's no audio comin from the dvd movies i play. although the drive is able to playback audio, mp3 and vcd's ... only in dvd's the sound is missin. plz help me. my system config:
intel C2D 1.8Ghz
965RY mboard
2gb ram
ati X1300 512mb

Don' change it, as you can only do this 4 times!
Use DVD Decrypter or something similar, for burning, or DIVX or Nero for playing, cause then you don't need to change it.
This should help with your lack of sound. ...you need third party software to play dvds. Win media player can not play dvds on it's own.
