can anyone tell me what setting to set my D90 nikon on while taking pictures of a play & get the best result?
i just bought my D90 camera and i am taking the pictures for the theater department at my school and i want to get the best results for future purposes..if anyone can help it would very helpful and amazingg!!
i have the regular lense (18-105mm) that came with the camera and the theater is dark and the stage is small. i would say it has a older atmosphere
Use a large SD card or have a few ready to swap out. Shoot RAW+jpg, you will have more control of the RAW images adjustments on a computer later.
You need access to theater during a full dress rehearsal to set up your WB and get a feel for the actors and sets. I had seen flash strobes hung from the rafters with the theatrical lighting before, They used a remote command on the hotshoe to trigger them. The flash gave good fill and was not that noticeable, all tho the photographer wasn't taking a photo every min. Good Luck
The others are also pointing you in the right direction with increasing the ISO and dropping the F stop down. Try not shooting auto try A or S and set you white balance.
