What type of lens hood should I buy/use?
I recently bought the pentax K-X and I am looking for a lens hood.
I want one that will fit both of my lenses, my 18-55mm one and 50-200mm. Both have a 52mm thread. Can somebody explain the purposes of the different shaped (petal etc) lens hoods as well as the different depths.
And can I just buy one hood for both of the lenses, or do I need a different one for each?
If so - which sort would I need?

SO I shoudl buy a Telscopic hood (just a round one) or a rubber one??!
The petal design is for the wide angle lenses, so you still get some coverage bit the shade does not vignette the corners. Your 18mm lens will be the one vignetted.
You can get a shade that's easy to pull back (telescopic or rubber), but you'll always have to be checking the viewfinder corners.
