How do i set my Sony A350 Flash to manual?
Stupid question i know but if anyone can help i would be grate full i have an adapter on my hot shoe and am trying to use my old flash gun.do i need to set anything on the camera for it.
Your old flashgun will fire at full power (if at all) due to it being incompatible with the Sony Alpha. This will result in over exposed pictures.
If you really want to continue with it you will need to learn how to use the flashes manual setting for flash power and focal distance, not the camera.
Personally I wouldn't bother, if you are doing a lot of flash photography it is worth investing in a proper Sony branded flash. Also have a look for the Minolta 3600HS(D) and 5600HS(D).
The 3600 is the same as the Sony HVL-F36AM and the 5600 is the same as the HVL-F56AM.
I have the HVL-F42AM which I have just replaced with the excellent, but expensive, HVL-F58AM.
