Is there any way to have a connector between a Nikon flash and a Canon camera and have it work in auto?
I have a nikon flash and a canon camera is there any way that they can work together in auto? i have two pc cord connector to hot-shoe adapters one for nikon and one for canon, so i can wire it together since i have connectors for both ends, i just need to know if its possible? and if so which contacts do i need to match up?

It will not work in TTL mode, nothing you can do about that. You might possibly be able to cross connect the Nikon flash pinout to the Canon hotshoe pinout, but the flash will not be able to talk to the Canon anyway. There is also the issue of Nikon using 3 accessory pins, and Canon using 4.
If your flash has an actual "auto" mode, usually marked as A instead of TTL, then it can work. In "auto" mode, the flash measures the light exposure itself, without camera input like TTL. You have to shoot in manual mode, with the shutter speed at or below maximum sync. You set aperture and ISO on both the camera and flash to do this, and the flash controls itself. The only thing the camera does is tell the flash when to fire.
