I need Western/Country wedding reception ideas!?
We are going to use mason jars w/ wheat and wildflowers for the tables along with horse shoe candle holders we are making, but I need ideas for the lighting, tablecloths, dancefloor, gift table, and guestbook table.
For lighting, you want to go with something warm that resembles candlelight. For tablecloths, nothing goes better than the red and white checker pattern. That is very country. You should think barn dance when decorating. As for the gift table and dancefloor, if you can get a hold of square bales of hay, they could be placed around the dancefloor as seats, and also stacked to use as a gift table (that is if your venue will allow you to bring hay into the hall). For the guestbook table, I suggest that you use a wagon wheel with some sort of clear covering. I bet you could find such a wagon wheel table on ebay if you looked. Like I said, keep in mind the images of a barn dance, and you should be able to come up with some very creative decor.
Also, if you can rent a mechanical bull.....but that might be pushing it....it would certainly be a day to remember (with some bruises as keepsakes)
