i have a sony digital 8 handycam video camera and everytime i try to record it says please reinsert cassete?
i did but it said that again
Hi Bruin:
Two things you might check on your Hi8/Digital8 cassettes is:
1) make sure the "Record Protect" tab isn't flipped the wrong way, and
2) make sure the tape is rewound to the beginning (or someplace suitable that's not at the end).
Otherwise you may have a tape-sensor switch that's dirty or defective.
Does your camcorder PLAY tapes normally? (Use the "Additional Details" update link to post feedback on this discussion.)
