Super Vhs Camcorder

Getting Videos on Camcorder onto my Laptop.?
Hey everyone. I have a JVC Super VHS Camcorder. I would like to take the videos off of it and put them on my computer. How would I go about doing this. My computer is a Gateway Tablet PC, and I have no idea what adaptors I need and such. Thanks.
Well I don't know for sure what kind of hookups come with your computer, but if this camera is newer you need a firewire drive and cable. If your computer does not have a firewire drive, you have to have one added to it in order to transfer it over straight from it. If it is old, or you want to avoid this route, cameras have an out that looks like a headphone jack that would work with a cable that has the A/V (yellow white red) on the other end as if hooking up to a tv. The only way to transfer over like this is to either have a dvd player that can make a dvd from its input, or there is a device similar to this method i've seen at wal-mart that you hook up the a/v and it hooks up to transfer to your computer. Its actually quite a complicated subject.
