Telephoto Lens Digi
Why do they say to double the zoom for a digital telephoto lens ?

For instance, they say a 150mm zoom on a digital slr is equal to 300mm non-digital slr zoom. How is that possible, I have looked thru both and the digital is not equal, images on the non-digi slr telephoto looks alot closer. Are they trying to fool us ?

That formula only works with Olympus DSLR's. It has to do with the size of a DSLR's sensor when compared with a full frame 35 mm frame, 36 x 24 mm. Nikon APS-C sensors use a 1.5x factor as do Pentax and Sony. Canon's are 1.3x and 1.6x depending again on the size of the sensor.
