Does anyone know where I can download a Mac copy of VLC?

I know there are loads of places that have it on the net but every time I try to download a copy it turns out to be a thumb drive version which means I have to mount it every time I want to use it... Also there are loads of versions that are packaged with annoying extra programs that I really don't want to install. So does anyone know where I can get a proper version (non-thumb drive) without extra 'annoyingware' for a mac?
I've had a mac for about a year, I know how you install things but I also know the difference between thumb drive versions which you have to repeatedly install and standard versions that you install once.
