backpacks with camera stand mount or similar?
Trying to find a hiking internal backpack that will be able to support a camera stand. Trying to video tape the entire hike along the way. any backpacks will be able to support that function or similar?
My friend who is a photographer bought a pack that had the slip sleeves along the sides, behind the side pockets, that you can slip skis into to carry them. Then he made a U-shaped bracket out of wood and metal that had two legs that slid down into the two sleeves with a cross-brace connecting them at the top. This gave him a strong frame to clamp his video camera mount to so he could shoot over his head or shoulders while hiking. I've done the same with my similar ski-touring pack by sliding two of the legs of my tripod down into the sleeves and shortening and securing the third leg to the front of the pack (mine has an ice-ax loop and strap that work for that.)
